You need to be lucky to be good: You need to be good to be lucky. A friend of mine would tell his football players that. I think that statement applies to most any venture. I have always loved photography, but I felt I was too busy to be able to "be good." Retirement can be a wonderful liberation. Although I have joined photography clubs and taken private lessons. I have no formal training in art or photography - I am trying to catch up. The more I photograph and learn about photography the more I want to learn and photograph. If something captures my eye, I photograph it so I can share it. It could be sunlight through the petals of flowers, or a reflection in a mud puddle. I love the contours of the countryside as well as the designs and patterns of the city. I enjoy sharing what I find with you - I hope there is something we both like in my galleries.
